When a Montana owner dies without a will, Title 72 of the Montana Code Annotated decides who inherits. The surviving spouse, children, parents, and siblings take in a specific order, with shares that depend on who else is alive. The result is often a property with multiple co-owners who never planned on it.

Gallatin County probate is handled out of the Bozeman courthouse. The judge moves quickly on uncontested matters. Informal probate is common. Daniel is on the ground here, so we know the clerks, the timelines, and the local attorneys we trust to handle the legal pieces.
Montana title sits inside the Uniform Probate Code framework. Texas has its own Estates Code with tools like Affidavit of Heirship and Muniment of Title. The instincts cross over, but the documents and the filings are different. We work both states in-house.
Most of our Montana sellers don't live in Montana. We handle the on-the-ground work, including the title search, county filings, and walking the property. You can sign electronically or by mail. The proceeds land in your account. You don't need to fly in.
